Call for Workshops

The MINES 2009 Workshops Chairs invite proposals for workshops to be held within the 2009 International Conference on Multimedia Information NEtworking and Security (MINES 2009).
MINES 2009 will be held at Wuhan, China in November 2009. Workshops provide a forum for discussing novel ideas and specific research questions among researchers and practitioners during MINES. Successful workshops should complement the topics of MINES. Workshop organizers could invite one special talk, and accept papers with a peer-review process. Typically, each workshop will be composed of at least 10 papers. Workshop organizers manage the paper submission and review works, and submit the camera-ready papers before the due date (August 1, 2009). The workshop papers will be published together with regular papers in the conference proceedings.
Proposal Preparation
A formal workshop proposal should be at most two pages and include the following information:
■ Title of the proposed workshop (full name and short name)
■ Profile of workshop organizers (including affiliations, contact info and brief biography)
■ Theme of the workshop and topics of interest, and how these relate to the overall conference
■ List of Program Committee members
■ Method to receive and evaluate the submissions
■ Expected number of accepted papers
■ Estimated time schedules
■ Are there journal issue for the revised or extended workshop papers
Proposals will be evaluated based on the timeliness of the topic and relevance to MINES 2009, as well as the qualifications of the organizers and Program Committee.

Notification of acceptance: March 1, 2009 April 20, 2009
Workshop calls online (by organizers): April 20, 2009
Final Manuscript due (for proceedings): August 1, 2009
